Our Purpose

Sam and his wife, Susie, first met as missionaries in Moscow, Russia, where Sam was the director of a conference ministry for Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU) and Susie was a teacher in a school for missionary children. Upon their return from overseas, they settled in Orlando, Florida where they started and led a new church.  After 10 years, they relocated Southern California where they once again planted and pastored a new church for another 18 years before transitioning to develop Alive GO Teams full time.  Sam is a graduate of Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. He also has an MBA degree from California State University of Long Beach.

Alyssa is a recent graduate of Vanguard University earning her Master's degree and credentials in education.  She is also on staff with Church of Grace in Yorba Linda, CA as their Director of Children's Ministries.  But her real passion is sharing the gospel with everyone God puts in front of her.  And God has certainly been using Alyssa everywhere she goes. Her boldness, faith and strong work ethic are her greatest strengths.

Cindy is a retired school principal with decades of experience and many national and state awards in education.  While on her first GO trip to Kenya, Cindy saw a need in a private school to train a handful of teachers.  Before she knew it, she was leading a seminar for over 140 educators which changed her life.  Since then, Cindy has helped to organize and lead Educator's Conferences with a heart to improve the quality of education as a means of breaking the cycle of poverty.

Tammy is a bachelor's prepared registered nurse with a background in neonatal intensive care and pediatrics.  She also has experience in hospital administration managing nursing projects to improve quality patient outcomes.  Tammy has served on many medical mission teams in places like Kenya, Fiji, and Ecuador.  Her passion is to reach people with the love of Jesus Christ through the delivery of loving, compassionate health care.
